Web Store Setup

Web store settings control your store URL, site type, ordering hours, tracking, and when the store is live to customers. Find these settings under Settings → Web Store.

Site URL

  • Subdomain: your store is accessible at yoursubdomain.socialone.ai. The subdomain is set during account setup and identifies your store uniquely.
  • Share this link with customers directly, in WhatsApp broadcasts, or on social media to drive traffic to your store.

Site Type

Site type controls the default layout and navigation structure Socialone uses for your store:

  • E-Commerce Store: product-first layout with catalog browsing, cart, and checkout. Best for retail businesses selling physical or digital products.
  • Service Business: service-first layout with booking flows. Best for salons, clinics, tutors, and other appointment-based businesses.
  • Portfolio / Brand: content-first layout for showcasing work, case studies, or a brand presence without a transactional checkout.
  • Landing Page: a single-page layout for campaigns, lead capture, or product launches.

Publishing

  • Published: your store is live and customers can browse and place orders.
  • Unpublished: the store URL shows a placeholder page. Use this while setting up or during major changes.
  • Unpublishing does not affect existing orders or any other Socialone feature.

Ordering Hours (Intake Controls)

Intake controls let you limit when customers can place orders, independent of whether the store is published:

  • Always open: customers can place orders at any time. This is the default.
  • Scheduled hours: set daily time windows when ordering is allowed. Outside these windows the store displays a message showing when it next opens. Useful for restaurants or businesses with set preparation hours.
  • Paused: ordering is fully stopped. Set a reason (for example, "Closed for the holidays — reopening 15 January") that customers see when they try to checkout. Use this for planned closures or stock replenishment periods.

Payment Mode

The checkout payment mode is determined by whether a Razorpay account is connected to your organization:

  • Razorpay connected: customers pay online at checkout via UPI, card, net banking, or wallet. Payment is captured before the order is confirmed.
  • No payment gateway: customers submit a request form with their order details. Your team reviews the request and follows up to collect payment manually.
  • To connect Razorpay, go to Settings → Integrations → Razorpay and enter your Razorpay API credentials.

Custom Domain

Connect a domain you own (for example, shop.yourbrand.com) so customers reach your store at your own URL instead of the Socialone subdomain.

  1. In Web Store Settings, enter your custom domain in the Custom Domain field.
  2. Socialone shows the DNS records you need to add at your domain registrar (a CNAME record pointing to Socialone).
  3. Add the records at your registrar and click Verify. DNS propagation typically takes a few minutes to a few hours.
  4. Once verified, the store becomes accessible at your custom domain. The original Socialone subdomain continues to work and redirects there.

Analytics & Tracking

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): enter your GA4 Measurement ID (format: G-XXXXXXXXXX) to track page views, sessions, and events on your store.
  • Meta Pixel: enter your Meta Pixel ID to track conversions and build remarketing audiences from store visitors.
  • Both are optional. You can add one, both, or neither.

WhatsApp Contact Button

  • Enable the WhatsApp contact button to show a floating WhatsApp icon on your store pages.
  • Enter the WhatsApp link (use the WhatsApp Link Generator to create one) that the button opens when clicked.
  • Customers who prefer to inquire directly before buying can tap this to start a WhatsApp conversation with your team.

Common Blockers

  • Store not loading after publish: confirm the store is set to Published in settings. Also check that your products have web visibility enabled.
  • Custom domain shows an error: DNS records may not have propagated yet. Wait a few hours and verify again. Confirm the CNAME record is pointing to the correct Socialone hostname shown in settings.
  • Ordering shows as closed even during business hours: check your intake schedule — the timezone setting on your organization must match your local business hours.
  • Payment not showing at checkout: the Razorpay integration must be active. Go to Settings → Integrations → Razorpay to check the connection status.
