Tags & Segments
Tags help segment contacts for campaigns and filtering.
- Create tags from the Contacts UI or during import.
- Use tags in Broadcasts to target specific groups.
- Tags can be edited or removed at any time.
Importing Contacts
If you already have customer data stored externally, you can import it into Socialone.
- Click Import on the Contacts page.
- Download the Sample CSV File for reference to ensure your file follows the correct format.
- Upload your CSV file and map columns to fields.
- During import, you can apply one or more tags to all imported contacts at once.
- Click Import to complete the process.
This saves time when onboarding a large number of contacts and ensures your database remains consistent.
For any date fields (e.g., date of birth), use ISO format:YYYY-MM-DD (example: 1994-08-12).
Contacts Dashboard & List View
All saved contacts appear in the Contacts dashboard in a structured table view. The following details are displayed:
- Name
- Phone Number
- Contact Type (Individual or Business)
- Customer Type
- Lifecycle Stage
- Tags
- Last Updated
From this dashboard, you can:
- Edit a contact to update any field.
- Delete a contact if it is no longer needed.
- Bulk actions for export or delete.
The list view ensures quick navigation, searching, and access to the most important customer information.
Automatic Contact Creation
You don't always have to create or import contacts manually. Socialone automatically saves contacts in the following scenarios:
- Messages: New conversations can create contacts automatically.
- Forms: Submissions can save contact details.
This automation ensures your database grows naturally as customers interact with your business.
Filters & Broadcast Integration
One of the most powerful advantages of Contacts is its direct integration with WhatsApp Bulk Messaging. Instead of uploading CSV files every time you want to run a campaign, all your saved contacts are instantly available for use.
You can apply advanced filters to target the right audience:
- Created Date: Filter contacts by the date they were added.
- Customer Type: Narrow down contacts based on their classification (Lead, Prospect, Customer, etc.).
- Lifecycle Stage: Target customers based on their journey stage.
- Tags: Send campaigns to specific tagged groups.
- Location: Filter by geographical location.
- Business Details: Use business-related fields for targeting.
Example Workflow:
- Go to Broadcasts.
- Select Filter by Tag and choose "Leads".
- Validate the filter — the system will show the matching contact list.
- Confirm selection and send your bulk message directly.
No extra uploads are needed, making campaign setup fast and seamless.
Key Benefits
